Some is never good for your health. I think that is why heaters and vents were invented. The heaters have replaced fireplaces and vents allow for better air circulation.

Hi Tim.
The catalytic converters are a good idea, but my feeling is that wood combustion is bad for the environment, because trees left standing will absorb CO2 and help mitigate global warming.
